Wireless Infrastructure Association Mourns the Loss of Douglas Dietz

The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) is deeply saddened to announce the sudden and tragic death of Douglas Dietz, Manager of Business Development for the Association. Doug passed away as a result of a single-car accident while on his honeymoon with his wife in New Zealand. He was 29 years old. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen.

“Doug was a valued member of the WIA family. On behalf of the entire organization, we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and loved ones,” said Jonathan Adelstein, CEO and President of WIA. “In his time with WIA, his positive attitude and dedication to his work inspired us all.”

A graduate of The College of William & Mary, Doug joined the Wireless Infrastructure Association in May 2016. Previously, he was an Associate Publisher of FierceMarkets, an online news operation based in Washington, D.C.

Doug was an avid softball player in the Congressional Softball League where he played for the Southern Aces.

His teammates launched a Go Fund Me Campaign to provide moral and financial support to his wife.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m, Saturday, Oct. 8, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
