What is National Apprenticeship Week?
National Apprenticeship Week is a national, annual celebration of apprenticeship programs and apprentices. Supported by the Department of Labor (DoL), it is an opportunity for companies to highlight apprenticeship programs and apprentices and to provide information to career seekers. WIA is the National Sponsor of the DoL-credentialed training program, the Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP), and wants to feature your company’s apprentices to increase your company’s visibility for recruiting efforts by demonstrating why apprenticeships are a strong career path for telecommunications careers in a social media campaign.

Feature Your Apprentices
To participate in WIA’s National Apprenticeship Week social media campaign, send the following information to workforce@wia.org:
| | • | Apprentice’s name | | • | Apprentice’s title | | • | Apprentice’s photo in the field or headshot | | • | A 30-50 word quote from an apprentice that explains the benefits of the apprenticeship to the apprentice, such as performing meaningful work, gaining a new skill set, increasing earning potential, improving work-life balance, or any other benefits | With this information, WIA will design social media quote cards, and we may even feature the apprentice in a future blog! We look forward to featuring your company’s great work for the industry. Please send information or questions to: workforce@wia.org
