Amendment of the Federal Communications Commission’s Application Fees for 2016
On July 6, 2016, the Commission adopted an Order that amended its Schedule of Application Fees for processing applications and other filings. This Order increases application fees to reflect the net change in the Consumer Price Index. This Order will become effective 30 days after that publication in the Federal Register. WIA will track the publication date and inform our customer through our website.
The fee increases that will affect most Part 90 Land Mobile applicants are:
- A $70.00 fee (up from $65.00) for new, modification or renewal/modification applications
- A $70.00 fee (up from $65.00) for duplicate licenses, consolidation of call signs and Special Temporary Authority
- A $200.00 fee (up from $195.00) per rule section waived for Rule Waiver requests.
As an example, the combined current Regulatory* and forthcoming application fees for an applicant seeking a new license as a for-profit entity operating a private internal-use system will be $170.00.

FCC To Modify CORES
In September 2016, the FCC will implement modifications to the Commission Registration System (CORES) designed to upgrade security, improve information collection and enhance convenience for users.
