Jun 23, 2023 Workforce Solutions CoordinatorOrganization: The Wireless Infrastructure Association Job Description As Workforce Solutions Coordinator for the Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA), you will be in a key position to enhance and support WIA’s efforts to transform the Broadband industry with training and education programs that improve safety, quality, and productivity. This position requires strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management, attention to detail, strong communication, and excellent customer service. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and acumen, a willingness to take on any task to advance the team, and experience working with customer relations management software or learning management systems. Next-generation 5G and broadband networks—100 times faster than current networks—are already reshaping the global economy, ushering in a new era of connected devices, powering smart cities, and enabling driverless cars, enhanced telemedicine, remote surgeries, and advanced manufacturing. Broadband infrastructure is changing faster than ever. With new technology comes new skills — and a need for world-class training to prevent technology from outpacing talent. WIA’s Telecommunications Education Center (TEC) is a dynamic learning program devoted to improving education, quality of work, and safety within the telecommunications industry. It hosts more than 40 industry-focused courses that have trained the workforce in the fundamentals of telecommunications infrastructure, 5G, and broadband deployment since 2015. More than 3,500 participants have taken advantage of TEC’s courses, and enrollment is growing each year. As part of the workforce team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the state-of-the-art training developed to address the skills gap and meet the needs of the next-generation deployment. Responsibilities Working closely with the Workforce Solutions team to schedule and support meetings, workshops, training, and conferences, develop marketing materials, and various projects. Project scheduling, tracking, and reporting. Supporting customers in workforce solutions Preparing and assisting with project correspondences, proposals, memos, and presentations. Supporting the execution of various stages of project implementation plans. Handling day-to-day operational responsibilities and challenges. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Microsoft suite proficiency Strong communication skills Expert reading, writing, and PowerPoint development skills Experience with learning management systems (for example, Totara/Open LMS) preferred. Data entry and queries Customer relations management experience (eg, HubSpot) Ability to travel (up to 10%) and facilitate meetings, training, and events. Attributes Accountable.
