After successfully building and selling a carrier-neutral fiber network in the New York metro area (Lexent Metro Connect sold to Lightower), the founders of ZenFi set to work on solving one of today’s major telecommunications problems: affordable bandwidth to better deliver and enable wireless applications.  The founders of ZenFi recognized early on the need for a company that could bridge the gap between traditional wireline fiber companies and their disconnected wireless counterparts.  The result: a purpose-built fiber network focused on cellular backhaul, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) / small cell deployments and wholesale fiber opportunities with direct, streamlined interconnectivity capabilities to today’s traditional networks in the most well-established carrier hotels.
