Jan Smith

Jan Smith is Manager, Business Development for WIA.  Jan engages with WIA’s members to solve problems and create business opportunities.  Jan also works with WIA’s Events and Workforce Development teams to develop opportunities for the association’s members and bring new members to WIA through the benefits it offers for companies in the wireless infrastructure ecosystem.

Prior to joining WIA, Jan owned and operated a Verizon premium retailer franchise in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.  She gained her industry cred working at the retail end of the wireless delivery chain.

Jan earned her J.D. from the Columbus School of Law and her B.A. from The Catholic University of America, where she majored in Politics with a minor in Philosophy. Over the years, she has worked on and volunteered with many campaigns and political organizations.

Jan lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband, where they have raised their four children.  She loves to travel and root for the World Series Champion Washington Nationals!
