Inside Towers – Carriers serving Florida areas predicted to be impacted by Hurricane Milton were preparing assets and staff before the storm to maintain emergency communications and expedite restoration. The FCC activated its Disaster Information Reporting System for Florida, to keep a close eye on communications outage data in the coming days and do what’s necessary to support recovery and restoration efforts. Inside Towers – OSHA announced it will accept public comments through December 30, 2024, on its proposed rule issuing a heat injury and illness prevention standard for both outdoor and indoor workplaces. UScellular – UScellular has been awarded additional funding from the Nebraska Universal Service Fund Wireless (NUSF) Fund Program to enhance mobile connectivity in rural parts of the state. UScellular will receive nearly $5.5 million from the program to build 10 towers. Read More
