Inside Towers – The U.S. tower industry remains robust. Inside Towers Database shows the installed base of registered, constructed towers in the U.S. has grown to 140,095 at the end of September 2025. Contributing to that growth has been a high level of construction activity. A total of 5,238 new towers have been built from the beginning of 2023 through the end of Q3 2025. Read More

State Scoop – Regulators are considering reforms to numerous broadband permitting processes across the country, with the aim of accelerating deployment. Most changes would potentially preempt state and local government rules. The House Energy Subcommittee on Communications and Technology marked up 28 bills and the FCC kicked off consideration of new measures to reform broadband permitting. Read More

Inside Towers – NTIA approved 18 final proposals to deliver broadband access through the BEAD program. One state, Louisiana, has signed its award amendment, allowing the state to access BEAD funds to begin delivering broadband to its constituents. Read More

Fierce Network – Fixed wireless access (FWA) is no longer a predominantly rural option, said T-Mobile Chief Broadband Officer Allan Samson Tuesday, as the operator has gained sizable traction in urban markets. Read More

AT&T – AT&T hit the 5G accelerator and deployed mid-band (3.45 GHz) spectrum from EchoStar to nearly 23,000 cell sites in a matter of a few weeks, which is record fast. This new spectrum unlocks substantial increases in speed and capacity for customers in more than 5,300 cities across 48 states. Read More
