WIA Statement on FCC Approval of Modernized NEPA Environmental Regulations

Today, the Wireless Infrastructure Association released the following statement on the FCC’s approval of a report and order modernizing the Commission’s NEPA review process. The statement can be attributed to Patrick Halley, President and CEO, WIA:

“This is an important step that will modernize environmental review policies at the FCC by updating regulations to embrace smart-build principles.  By balancing environmental reviews with removing unnecessary barriers, these reforms will ensure infrastructure can be built more efficiently and help deliver the connectivity that communities, families, and businesses rely on every day.  WIA applauds Chairman Carr and the Commission for taking action to streamline the deployment of high-speed wireless infrastructure.”
