The Emerging Wireless Professionals (EWP) is a membership section of WIA, focusing on professionals with less than 10 years of experience in broadband. Attracting and supporting new professionals across a wide array of occupations in the telecom and broadband industries is crucial to the long-term success and health of the industry.
In-building wireless networks are critical components of today’s wireless infrastructure. These systems use a variety of network architectures and spectrum bands to extend cellular service inside stadiums, commercial buildings, hotels, convention centers, hospitals, university campuses, airports, and other large buildings. Private wireless, small cells and DAS, and Wi-Fi can all be used to extend coverage and capacity across venues and campuses.
The purpose of the Infrastructure Developers Forum (IDF) is to gather a diverse group of entrepreneurs active in the development of wireless infrastructure and create a forum for education, networking, and sharing of ideas among the group in such areas as development, finance, and management of wireless infrastructure. The group meets in person twice a year.
The Innovation and Technology Council (ITC) is the forum for forecasting the future of the wireless industry. Participants explore developments in the wider wireless industry, from 5G network monetization trends and streamlining infrastructure deployments to future spectrum needs. The Council welcomes thought leaders that are investigating and bringing to market technologies that will impact the industry.
The Professional Services Forum (PSF) brings together a diverse group of professionals active in providing project management, regulatory, engineering and other services to the wireless infrastructure ecosystem to create a forum for networking, education, and information-sharing among industry leaders.
The State Wireless Association Program (SWAP) promotes the wireless industry and educates stakeholders in state and local communities about the importance of wireless connectivity to their community’s well-being. Individual associations are created under the SWAP umbrella to develop a local presence within the community.
The Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum (WWLF) is a volunteer association for professional women in the wireless communications industry. Through WWLF’s events, members share their expertise, broaden their contacts, and advance their career opportunities. WWLF celebrates the experience of the many successful women in the communications industry.
