Christopher B. Fisher to Receive Pace University’s Distinguished Service Award

White Plains, NY – February 12, 2019 – Cuddy & Feder LLP is pleased to announce that managing partner Christopher B. Fisher will be honored with the Distinguished Service Award at Pace University’s 24th Annual Law Leadership Awards Dinner at the Westchester Country Club on March 7, at 7 p.m. The Distinguished Service Award honors individuals/organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the legal community.

Mr. Fisher concentrates his practice on telecommunications, land use, zoning, energy permitting and litigation. He is Chairman of the firm’s Telecommunications Group and a past Chairman of the firm’s Land Use, Zoning & Development Group, two of the largest infrastructure practices in New York and Connecticut. A tireless advocate for the wireless industry, he has provided wireless operators, tower companies, DAS and small cell developers with real estate, government relations, zoning, environmental, municipal franchising and other legal services.

For 25 years, Mr. Fisher has demonstrated his commitment to the growth and development of Westchester County and beyond. He is a founding board member of the New York State Wireless Association and served as its President from 2012 to 2018. He is currently its State and Local Government Affairs Advisor. Mr. Fisher is also a Board Member of the Westchester County Association and leads the organization’s charge on broadband investment and new innovative technologies. He was instrumental in launching the WCA’s Smart Growth Compact in late 2016.

Mr. Fisher received his JD and Certificate in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law in 1994 and was an early member of the Land Use Law Center. He’s continued to stay involved and support the University by previously serving as a Pace Law Alumni Board Officer and as the alumni representative on the Dean Search Committee for past Dean and President Stephen J. Friedman. He led Cuddy & Feder’s naming donation for the entryway in Ottinger Hall and represented the University on its most recent redevelopment of the undergraduate campus in Pleasantville. Currently, Mr. Fisher serves on the Pace Law School Board of Visitors.

“It’s an honor to receive the Distinguished Service Award from an institution that never loses sight of fundamental fairness in educating leaders in the law,” said Mr. Fisher. “Cuddy & Feder’s founders were committed to the vision of Pace Law School as part of its establishment in White Plains in the 70s. I’m proud of our Firm’s deep-rooted relationship with the Law School and our continued collaboration in the community.”

The annual dinner brings together prominent alumni, legal academics, judges and lawyers to celebrate the recipients of the Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Fisher will be honored alongside Dennis J. Kenny, Law School Board of Visitors member and Senior Vice President and General Counsel (Retired) Transamerica Leasing, Inc.
