Mosaik Releases 2016 Wireless Competitive Landscape Poster for an Unparalleled View of Wireless Network Intelligence Ahead of CTIA Super Mobility

Maps released in conjunction with a new interactive portal to demonstrate Mosaik’s intelligence that enhances network marketing and decision-making

MEMPHIS, TENN. – September 1, 2016 – As one of the most anticipated items at CTIA Super Mobility, Mosaik is announcing the availability of its 2016 Wireless Competitive Landscape Poster. This year, Mosaik is also launching the Network Coverage and Analytics Portal, a new interactive demonstration to further spotlight how its network intelligence offerings empower carriers and other network-dependent solution providers to deliver better customer experiences.

Now in its 12th year, the 2016 Wireless Competitive Landscape Poster highlights LTE network choice, coverage and availability in North America, and provides an overview into worldwide network coverage across LTE, GSM and CDMA technologies.

This year Mosaik’s poster introduces several new elements visualizing the importance of understanding interconnected infrastructure and network experiences, which have become integral to anticipating and supporting today’s customers’ connected lifestyle. An informative graph also provides a quick history of the major and select minor U.S. wireless auctions from as early as 1994. The second side of the poster focuses on the state of worldwide mobile coverage, featuring select coverage and speed test distribution maps from Sensorly, Mosaik’s free, crowdsourced coverage and network performance testing app.

“It’s been a busy year for Mosaik, and the latest Competitive Landscape highlights aspects of the 360 view we provide our clients to better support their customers today, and in the future,” said Bryan Darr, president and CEO of Mosaik. “We have always been committed to providing the best intelligence into any wired and wireless network, and this year’s infographic is the culmination of all of the Mosaik team’s hard work and dedication to that vision.”

Key highlights from this year’s poster include:

  • On a global scale, 491 operators have commercially launched mobile LTE networks in 158 countries
  • 7 percent of Americans, or 271 million people, now have four or more LTE providers from which to choose
  • The median time spent on urban LTE networks of the four largest U.S. operators is now 96.4 percent [Q2-2016 data, Sensorly Android users]
  • 695K infrastructure assets are now in the U.S. TowerSource database

The poster leverages more than 28 years of Mosaik’s experience in the telecom industry, exemplifies its position as the trusted source for unbiased telecommunications industry insights and offers a glimpse of what’s possible with Mosaik’s network intelligence and marketing solutions. Printed posters of the 2016 Wireless Competitive Landscape will be available at Mosaik booth #2422 during CTIA Super Mobility. Click here to download a digital copy today.

New Coverage and Analytics Portal

Mosaik’s new Network Coverage and Analytics Portal enables users to interactively explore the range of intelligence and actionable insights needed to stay ahead of the ever-growing demands of today’s connected consumer. The sample datasets included in this demonstration portal focus on the Salt Lake City, UT, metropolitan area in the United States. Salt Lake City was selected due to its interesting competitive and topographical elements.

The new portal will be open for use via Mosaik’s website, offering sample datasets on specific verticals, including network providers, utilities, transportation, M2M, infrastructure and more. It adds new Network QoE and TowerSource datasets to already available coverage data for wireless and wired technologies across mobile, cable, landline and broadband ecosystems.
