Tilson Recognized for Ninth Consecutive Year on the Inc. 5000

PORTLAND, Maine (August 14, 2019). Tilson, a national network deployment and IT professional services firm, announced today that it has again earned a place on the Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. This is the ninth consecutive year Tilson has been named to the list. Out of the thousands of companies that have applied, only a fraction of companies on the list have ranked more than once, and a mere half a percent have made the list nine times, according to Inc. Media. Tilson rose 23 spots and earned the position of 1773 this year. Tilson joins a select few of elite firms including Microsoft, Timberland, Vizio, Intuit, Chobani, Oracle, and Zappos.com as an honoree of the Inc. 5000.

“It takes a very talented and dedicated group to reach this level of success” said Tilson CEO Joshua Broder. “To be recognized for the ninth time on the Inc. 5000 is an extraordinary honor and reflection of Tilson’s company culture, the growing complexity and scale of our projects and the loyalty of our clients. Our team is committed to designing solutions that fit the needs of our clients and to sustain our competitive advantage in the industry. I look forward to continued growth in the years to come.”

Signs of Tilson’s growth over the past year include the addition of nearly 200 new employees, including former State of Maine Director of Veterans’ Services, Adria Horn as VP of Workforce, Shaun McCarthy, CFO, former Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller at Casa Systems, and most recently, Elin Katz, former Connecticut Consumer Counsel to lead Tilson’s Energy Consulting Division.

The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. With more than 550 employees in 23 locations nationwide, Tilson is among top categories including:

•    # 7 Top Maine Companies

•    # 30 Top Telecommunications Companies

•    Hall of Fame 9-Time Inc. 5000 Honoree

“This year, the winners have, once again, placed the bar very high” states James Ledbetter, Editor in Chief, Inc. Media. “Companies that made the list, on average, have grown sixfold since 2015. During a stretch when the economy grew around 12 percent, that’s a result most businesses can only dream of.”
