WIA Announces New Member on Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program Advisory Board

October 26, 2020

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) announced today that Brad Baumann, Vice President, Wireless Solutions for Gabe’s Construction Co., Inc., has joined the Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP) Advisory Board. He has 37 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.

“The Power & Communication Contractors Association (PCCA) board and its members appreciate the time and energy Brad spends to represent our industry on the TIRAP Advisory Board, and we know that his wisdom and hard work will benefit TIRAP, PCCA, the apprentices who receive training, and the businesses who employ the apprentices,” said PCCA President and CEO Tim Wagner. “We thank Brad, and we thank TIRAP for increasing contractor input in its program.”

“Brad’s vast experience will shape TIRAP’s effort to grow apprenticeships in telecommunications just as WIA is implementing a Department of Labor grant as well as a new contract,” said WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein. “Brad will bring the perspective of our grant partners at the Power & Communication Contractors Association, as well as his effort to implement apprenticeships at Gabe’s.”

Baumann has held several senior executive roles with CCI Systems, Advanced Communications, Inc., and Charter Communications. He has been a committed partner to Monroe County Community College (MCCC) and its expansion of curriculum related to the telecommunications industry. Baumann attended MCCC himself, previously served on the SCTE Lake Michigan Chapter Board, and currently serves on PCCA’s Education Committee.
