WIA CEO Calls for Congressional Funding for 5G Workforce

At the FCC’s recent Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee (BDAC) meeting, WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein called for congressional funding to bolster wireless workforce apprenticeship training programs to build out next-generation wireless services. The group also discussed the progress of the Disaster Response and Recovery Working Group, for which  Jonathan serves as Vice Chair. The group is working on a report to address COVID-19 related challenges to business operations and discussion on how the industry and local governments are working together to adapt to this unprecedented disruption.
