WIA Hires Amelia De Jesus as VP of Workforce Solutions

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) today announced the hiring of Amelia De Jesus as Vice President of Workforce Solutions. In this newly created role, De Jesus will lead the development of WIA’s Workforce Services business unit as it focuses on building America’s broadband workforce through innovative sector partnerships.

Through WIA’s Telecommunications Education Center (TEC) and Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP), WIA is the leading developer of education and training for the broadband industry. Leveraging her extensive experience in the wireless industry, De Jesus will work alongside stakeholders from industry, government, and academia to maximize the expansion of training and apprenticeship programs to build the broadband workforce.

“We’re elated to welcome Amelia onto our team during this exciting period of growth for WIA’s Workforce Solutions group,” said WIA EVP Tim House. “As Congress, the White House, and states work to expand broadband access to all Americans, WIA is stepping up to support sector partnerships and expand training programs to build a workforce capable of meeting the broadband deployment demands of today and tomorrow. We are eager to have Amelia join our team to help lead our workforce development efforts, as we look to support state governments and expand Registered Apprenticeships across the country.”

De Jesus has over two decades of experience in the wireless industry. She comes to WIA from Crown Castle, where she served as the national vice president of site acquisition. A leader in the wireless industry, she also served as president of the WIA-affiliated Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum from 2017-2019. “I am very fortunate to be a part of the WIA team and look forward to helping address the skills gap by transforming our approaches to building the broadband workforce,” said Amelia De Jesus.
