WIA Statement on Trump Administration’s Call to Action for 6G Leadership and Security

ARLINGTON, VA (July 27, 2026) – Today, the Wireless Infrastructure Association released the following statement on the U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s Call to Action for 6G Leadership and Security.

The statement can be attributed to Patrick Halley, President and CEO, Wireless Infrastructure Association:

“WIA applauds NTIA Administrator Arielle Roth and the Trump Administration for launching this important 6G initiative and recognizing that America’s economic competitiveness, technological leadership, and national security depend on strong wireless networks. Establishing global leadership in 6G will require both innovation and action: faster infrastructure deployment, continued private investment, and a robust pipeline of high-band spectrum. The wireless infrastructure industry stands ready to build the networks that will turn this vision into reality.”
